Audrey Pichy
Audrey was born in Paris, France the fashion capital of the world, resulting in making fashion an important part of her life. Although her young tomboy self would fervently deny it, she has always been fashion conscious. At an early age, Audrey watched her grandmother as she designed and sold fashion pieces from her house. This molded her perspective on the work of designers and defined her personal style as it evolved to a more feminine, chic, and professional style.
Audrey’s first hands-on experience was behind the scenes at “Catwalk on Wall Street,” a professional fashion show in Miami at Florida International University. After graduating with a degree in International Business, she moved to Washington, DC and quickly reconnected with the fashion scene as Press for DC Fashion Week in the spring of 2013. Although she is inspired by famous designers, the young entrepreneur is passionate about talented up-and-coming designers. That and the positive impact she believes cultural diversity and awareness has on the community are the reasons she is taking part in African Fashion Week DC.
